Native American children. This photo can be used in a lesson about the Cherokee
Nation and the Trail of Tears, because it will make students think about how it
must have for children on the Trail of Tears. Seeing the faces of actual
children will help the students realize that this event isn’t just a story in
their text books; it happened to real people.
